Students @ Oregon State University

Home

The Pre-Veterinary Medical Association at Oregon State University (aka: PVMA at OSU) is one of the largest clubs at Oregon State University. The purpose of our club is to further the knowledge of OSU students who are interested in the field of Veterinary Medicine.

This year our focus is on developing programs to assist the pre-vet students succeed in their challenging path to vet school. Volunteer opportunities to gain veterinary experience and fun club activities are just some of the things our new officers are working hard to offer.

The club meets every week on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm in Withycombe 109. During our meetings we will conduct club business, organize and prepare for events, and coordinate support programs for our members. Our meetings are not only for club business, but also provide opportunities to hear from guest speakers such as veterinarian specialists and veterinary school representatives.

Additionally we hold one to two activities per month in which club members are able to go on “field trips” to be involved in unique veterinary related experiences. There will also be many other opportunities to become involved such as: philanthropy, fundraising, national symposium, and OSU Ag. Exec. events.

Membership: Membership can be obtained at any time throughout the year. You are welcome to pay your annual dues of $40 to receive unlimited access to club opportunities. Non-members are welcome and invited to attend weekly meetings but will not have access to field trips, volunteer positions, etc. If you have any further questions, contact Treasurer Marissa DiTunno in person, at a meeting, or by email.
